Since the early 1970’s Stax’s Original has been a Greenville tradition and a unique service to the community. All of us at Stax’s would like to welcome you and make your dining a memorable experience!

In every town across the nation, there are certain places that really define the community. Stax’s Original Restaurant does just that. Opened in the early 50’s as Shaw’s Pharmacy, complete with a soda shop, the Stathakis family transformed it over 50 years ago to what it is today. They’ve kept the original soda fountain stools and counters and haven’t missed a beat since.

Owned and Operated by Frank, Sheila, Nicholas and Michael Stathakis, Stax’s Original has a great atmosphere and a warm family feel. In addition to the wonderful staff, many of whom have been here over 20 years, sometimes you can even find three generations of the Stathakis family working at the same time.

Our restaurant is a gathering place for family and old friends. Come see people you haven’t seen in years and also make some new friends.
